This World is Full of Givers and Takers

Which are you?

To be a giver is to believe.

Givers believe in the power of the universe and trust that there is enough of everything for everyone. Giving is an act of faith. A true giver does not give for a reward, to receive gratitude, or to control, but gives for the energy of giving itself. Givers know that by bringing to life they ultimately fill life with more to be given and received by all, including them.

To be greedy is to be afraid. Greed comes from feelings of lack.

Greedy people think that there is not enough of anything to go around and they must get more of everything. They keep whatever they can get for themselves. Sometimes greedy people give, but they do not give to give. They give to gain. Whether it is approval, repayment or even gratitude, greed only gives with an expectation.

There is a difference between giving because you are a giver and continuing to give to the wrong people. Co-dependent giving does not lead anywhere but to feelings of lack and betrayal. Giving for validation and acceptance leads only to more abandonment issues when the people you are giving to do not appreciate you or treat you well.

When you give in a toxic and unhealthy way, you not only hurt yourself, but you do a disservice to those who are taking from you as well. This form of giving is not to be mistaken for being a true giver.

Anything that sucks life out of you destroys your relationship with others, as well as your sacred relationship with yourself.

True givers get the most out of life.

Those who share freely in the spirit of love and abundance are blessed beyond measure. Are you a giver or a taker?
