You are living in a world of brilliance, beauty and badassery
You have likely had that day where you think you may lose hope in humanity. I have had my share.
I remember the toilet paper ravaging like it was yesterday. I said to myself, “Wow, if people will trample each other over toilet paper, what will they do when the shit really hits the fan?”
Yes, I have wondered many times in the past decade if my hope for and faith in humanity is childlike and naive. Especially since March of 2020. But no matter how much ugliness I see, I still find so much beauty.
I know there are a lot of people in the world who are spiritually and emotionally sick. But many people are not so sick. Many people are awesome.
There are people everywhere who let their light shine through.
People are sweet and intriguing and beautiful. People make music and movies and muffins. People help each other, and they hurt each other, and they forgive. They learn, and they teach. People create and dance and sing and laugh. People are pretty magnificent, and many of us live in amazing worlds that are only made possible by people.
Those people are all around you. They are at work, at home, at the store, and almost everywhere you go.
People are full of experience and wisdom. They are walking around all over the place making stuff and being super cool. They are all, every single one, doing the best they can. Most people are trying very hard to do well at this life thing. Even if they don’t know how, they are doing the best they can with what they know and have.
So when you feel expired, look around. Just look. Just listen. Don’t think, just notice. You are living in a world of brilliance, beauty and badassery. And, to top it off, there’s muffins. Be grateful.
